[he had tried calling and texting a few times after the fight, to try and check in with her - she was the only network person other than Davin that he really wanted to make sure was safe. the lack of responses had been worrying but he'd assumed, hoped, that maybe she was just busy, or lost her phone, or any number of explanations. so when he finally gets her message he's glad, and immediately relieved to hear from her.]

When Soren reads it he doesn't know what to think; of course his immediate reaction is that she's lying, joking, there's no way that could be true. but even though he's young he knows better than to be that naive - he knows a lot of people died today, including some numbered people. He also knows he heard her voice in his mind, and even though he hadn't figured out yet exactly what the voices mean, he was starting to realize it now.

It takes him a few minutes to respond, just trying to figure out what to even say to that, what to think, what to feel.]
